Start with the current GoWP offer

GoWP’s pricing page now distinguishes AI changes from small human changes. That distinction matters more than the old description of unlimited content edits you may still see in comparison articles. The current snapshot is dated October 3, 2026; this is public-page research, not a test of its editing tool or support team.

An AI editor can be useful when someone in your business knows what should change and can check the result. It does not remove the decision about wording, layout, accuracy or whether the request should happen at all. If the reason you are outsourcing is that nobody has time to review changes, count that work before deciding which plan looks affordable.

Separate five human edits from an AI editing allowance

GoWP Business currently lists five small human edits monthly alongside a larger AI allowance. Ask the provider to classify your recent requests before purchase: a supplied holiday-hours change is different from an original article, a redesigned page or an integration. Do not assume an AI change and a human task have identical boundaries.

Superpress Support is a different model: covered WordPress dashboard tasks go through a task thread. It does not include unlimited custom development, full redesigns or original content creation by default. The right comparison is the work someone will take responsibility for, the approval process and what remains with your team.

Four alternatives for different agency and owner needs

Compare WP Buffs if the priority is a care-plan relationship with an editing tier on your current host. Compare FixRunner if a tracked support-time budget is easier for you to manage than counting edits. Both deserve a sample task list rather than a request to match a marketing phrase.

Seahawk offers a care matrix with different task allowances and separately marketed agency services. Investigate it if care is one part of a wider WordPress buying decision. Superpress is worth shortlisting if the owner wants hosting, care and covered ongoing work coordinated together. These are purchasing models, not rankings of the people doing the work.

An agency portfolio has a different cost equation

For an agency, multiply the paid site tier by the sites that actually need it, then add the current agency branding fee and any extra edit packs. GoWP’s white-label add-on is priced per agency rather than per site. Do not multiply that fee by every installation. Also ask which activities remain visible to clients and who answers their questions.

An illustrative ten-site GoWP Pro portfolio at $39 per site plus the $49 agency add-on totals $439 monthly before taxes, hosting or extras. Ten Business sites would be $1,039 on the same basis. This arithmetic is not a Superpress agency quote and does not compare equivalent human capacity; use it to see the billing structure.

Approval is part of delivery, not a minor extra

Write down who checks changes before they reach the live site. For a client portfolio, an agency may need to review brand voice, legal copy and campaign instructions even when the maintenance provider makes the change. Decide whether the client, agency or provider can publish, and retain a record of approvals for consequential changes.

If you want fewer decisions landing back on you, ask potential providers to demonstrate their handoff process with a real task example. An account dashboard is useful only if responsibility is clear. Support questions, editing work and separately scoped development should each have an understandable path.

Leave with backups, access and client continuity

List which clients use care, which need recurring edits and which require store support. Transfer backups and operational records before removing access. Check whether a site’s paid tooling or reports depend on the outgoing service. Keep the client-facing promise narrow until the replacement provider confirms it.

Plan a small pilot handover before moving a portfolio. Review a typical edit, a failed-update recovery question and the support process. That is a practical buying test, not a guarantee of future response quality. For a wider shortlist of all ten providers, use our maintenance comparison.

When to stay and when to switch

Choose the relationship that fits the work already on your desk.

Stay with GoWP

Stay when you can review AI changes and the human-edit allowance matches actual demand.

Choose more human task coverage

Compare Superpress or WP Buffs when routine human work and clear handoffs matter more than an AI edit count.

Pilot an agency change

Move one representative site first and evaluate the operating process before a portfolio handover.

A worked buying scenario, not a customer story

Imagine an agency with ten brochure sites and a capable editor. Automated care and reviewed AI changes could fit well because the agency already owns approvals.

If several clients request frequent hands-on work, buying additional capacity or a different task model may be sensible. Track two weeks of requests first; an impressive edit allowance is not evidence that nobody will need to supervise the work.

Mistakes that make a switch more expensive

  • Repeating the old $99 unlimited-content-edit claim.
  • Calling AI edits done-for-you human capacity.
  • Ignoring the per-agency branding fee or multiplying it incorrectly.
  • Comparing ten care sites with one business-owner plan as if both were portfolio quotes.

Bring your real task list to the conversation

Tell us what your site does, who currently handles it and which jobs keep returning to you. We can review the fit for Superpress care plans before you choose a tier. If your need is major custom development or a full redesign, say so early: those are separately scoped, not included inside unlimited covered dashboard tasks.

  • Include the plugins or integrations that matter to the business.
  • Identify the person who can approve changes and test the customer path.
  • Agree on covered work and separate projects before changing providers.

Frequently asked questions.

Does GoWP still offer unlimited content edits at $99?

The public page checked October 3, 2026 lists Business with 50 AI edits and five small human edits monthly. Confirm current terms; older descriptions should not be assumed current.

Is an AI edit a human support task?

No. GoWP distinguishes approved AI changes, human edits and maintenance-support questions. Ask which allowance your request uses.

Can Superpress quote an agency portfolio?

Discuss the sites and scope first. The public business-owner plan price is not a verified multi-site or white-label portfolio quote.
